Upgrade components

Upgrade components are things that can be inserted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide a bonus or extra effect when the equipment is utilized. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as rewards, or made with crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects, in addition to offering bonus points for attributes.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are a type of upgrade component. They are generally not available for general use, and are only available to ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. You can retrieve infusions and inscriptions from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade item s can be traded and re-used while still attached to an item they are upgrading. These upgrade items are the most effective way to improve quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium because they can increase the odds of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
Upgrade components can be added to an item but the previous one is destroyed (except for legendaries and upgraded equipment). Only upgraded items that have an identification level of 0 or more can have upgrade components added to them. If you upgrade the weapon already equipped with a suffix or a prefix upgrade the item will be referred to as it appears on the game screen (for example adding an Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor transforms it into Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player is limited to up to three upgrade items at once.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a useful accessory to any item because they offer a variety of unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases its effectiveness. These glyphs are acquired through working through Dungeons. They can also be found in certain World Tier 3 zones. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs cannot be used on a character that has not been able to create an dungeon with a root of the same depth.
To use a Glyph it is necessary to build it from components and connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths in the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can make use of the combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element close to the highlighted component to secure it.
Certain glyphs have requirements to meet, such as having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a particular number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may also be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs also have a radius that increases as you move up.
Glyphs can be applied to various items and weapons, except for those of a specific class. Some of these glyphs have additional requirements, for example a certain amount of Dexterity damage, or Attack damage on a specific portion of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph has a 5% chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has an opportunity to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs can also be applied to restricted use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most common glyphs are the attack glyphs, which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. They are especially useful for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who attack the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll the results when taking an Action. They are removed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens are available in many ways, such as through raids and dungeons, or through participating in skirmishes. They can also be bought in the store or from other players. They are particularly beneficial in dungeons or trials because they allow players to reroll rewards from the end of the chest.
Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. If an item is recycled it will add a certain number of points to the upgrade gauge. This is based on both the item's rarity and level. The upgraded item will not keep its level when recycled, and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases when its level increases.
The player can also use reroll tokens to make an item rerollable. However it will not bring back the item's original stats, or level. This is useful for players who want to reroll a piece of equipment they don't love but want to keep in their collection.
There are three different types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll random, and upgrade. Each type comes with a couple of subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level to create a new item of that quality.
To make use of reroll tokens right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, choose a type of token. The tokens that are available include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a new Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon of the same faction.
The item can be upgraded to a different item with the same stats but a higher level. This will happen if the item has been placed in the Pool that is not droppable or was transferred to the pool as part of a franchise card.
